Moral Story – Tit For Tat

Tit for Tat is a story about Tottu the wily fox and Bily the Cat. Tottu was fishing in the river on a hot sunny day. Just then, Billy Cat came along, holding an umbrella. “Ouch! It’s really hot today!” said Tottu. “Will you hold the umbrella over my head for a while, Billy? I’ll give you some fish when you leave!”

Billy Cat agreed and he stood near Tottu, holding the umbrella over his head. When it was time for Billy to leave in the evening, Tottu said, “Hee! Hee! there’s no fish for you today! come tomorrow!” Billy cat was very angry. Do you know what he did the next day? He got into Tottu’s fish basket and hid there. Soon Tottu reached the river bank and started to fish.

He caught many fish and he put them all into the basket. Billy cat ate every one of them, CRUNCH! CRUNCH! As Tottu was about to leave in the evening, Billy cat stuck his head out of the basket and said,”You played a trick Tottu and I’ve played a trick on you too!” It’s a Tit for Tat.

Then Billy cat leaped out of the basket and ran away.
